Talking bathroom scales are balances for visually handicapped or old, partially sighted persons, which put the detected weight in form of a robotic voice out of an integrated speaker. These machines can greatly simplify the daily operation for a handicapped person. Some of them have a function to change the language to german, french and other languages.
The construction is similar to a normal bathroom scale, the only difference is the speaker. Also these scales are useful for persons with mobility problems that make it difficult to bend over and read a traditional scale's readout. Instead of complex movements to read the LCD-display, these scales say the weight or body fat with a soothing male or female voice.
